Taptrim Inc. ("Taptrim", "we", "our") provides booking, reminders, and membership tools for barbershops. This policy explains the personal data we collect when you visit taptrim.com, create an account, or use the scheduling platform.
We collect information you provide directly such as name, email, phone number, profile photo, staff rosters, services, pricing, memberships, and settings. When clients book through Taptrim we capture their chosen services, appointment history, payment tokens, and communication preferences. Technical logs (IP address, device, browser) help secure authentication and prevent fraud.
We use data to deliver the features you request: creating bookings, reserving chairs, sending reminders, processing payments, issuing deposits or refunds, managing memberships, and delivering support. Aggregated metrics help us understand feature adoption, queue health, and service performance so we can improve Taptrim.
We rely on service providers that specialise in hosting, messaging, analytics, and payments. Core partners include Supabase and AWS (infrastructure), Stripe (payments), Twilio or similar carriers (SMS), and Resend (email). Each provider only receives the minimum data required to perform their contracted role, and all contracts include confidentiality obligations.
Booking records are retained for as long as you maintain an account and thereafter only where tax, accounting, or regulatory rules require it. You may delete clients, services, or entire locations from the dashboard. Data in transit and at rest is encrypted. Production access is limited to authorised employees with ongoing access reviews.
Depending on your jurisdiction you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact us with your request and we will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
When personal data moves outside its region of origin we rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or UK International Data Transfer Agreements.
Taptrim is intended for professional barbers aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us so we can delete it promptly.

We post any material changes to this policy with a new effective date. Continuing to use Taptrim after an update becomes effective signals that you have read and understood the revised policy.
